ASK's Broker, Sharon Hawthorne, is an Accredited Buyer Representative, who built her business primarily through buyer representation. She focuses on empowering clients to make decisions concerning what is best for them rather than on "selling". She and agent associate Michele Cameron are committed to providing access to market data and property specific information as well as to properties — so when you find a home that seems promising you're able to evaluate it objectively and to make an informed and well conceived offer.

ASK Realty offers first-time buyer rebates of 5% of the selling agent's commission on properties paying a customary 2.5% - 3% commission on sales over $250,000 — to receive, just ASK.

Are you new to Sonoma County? Need some help determining which areas might suit you best? Sharon has lived in Sonoma County since 1972 and knows it well. She would be happy to arrange a get-to-know-Sonoma-County tour to introduce you to various communities and neighborhoods so that you can identify those that might best meet your criteria and then focus your search accordingly. But finding a property is just the beginning — go to The Purchase Process for more about the entire process and to learn about the support and assistance we offer along the way.

Want to confine your search to the internet for now? All real estate brokers belonging to the Sonoma County Multiple Listing Service have access to and can provide the same information. But no other site allows you to search by using the MLS defined AREAs that local agents use.

Sharon formatted ASK's search to include AREA as a search criterion because in many instances this will produce the most accurate and inclusive search results — avoiding the hard to predict outcome resulting from using the uncertain boundaries associated with CITY or ZIP CODE. However, to use this method effectively you'll need to first review Using AREA and familiarize yourself with the Area Boundaries definitions.

Defining a criteria so it's sufficiently inclusive, but not too broad, can be challenging. If you'd like our assistance just ask — even if you're just beginning to consider what you might like and prefer to continue just exploring on your own for now. We are happy to speak with you and to have the opportunity for you to get to know us a bit, while assisting you in designing a search relevant to you. Or we can create a highly personalized search that is setup to automatically send updates directly whenever a new listing or a change in an existing listing matching your criteria occurs.

Whatever you're shopping for — a foreclosure bargain, a green-built getaway with absolute privacy and fabulous views, a condo with enough outdoors to plant a few bulbs, or a country estate with a pool — we look forward to the challenge and reward of serving you.
